Description
In February 2016, DTM data reports a 3% increase in the overall displaced population (2,241,484 people) and an increase in the number of camps and camp like settings (84) identified with respect to the last period.
NEMA and ADSEMA attended an IOM organized training in Yola on Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) to build capacity in the management of the displaced population.
IOM is preparing to roll out a learning needs assessment for Government authorities in 13 States, which includes CCCM and Disaster Risk Reduction, and will underpin a comprehensive capacity building plan.
The voluntary relocation of IDPs from schools to alternative sites in Maiduguri, led by the High Powered Committee (HPC) is ongoing with 3,896 individuals relocated to Bakassi camp.
