USAID-BHA Grant 2020-2022

We are pleased to share that the Global Shelter Cluster (GSC) has received a USD 2 million grant from the Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) of USAID, to continue implementing key aspects of the GSC Strategy 2018-2022, while building on the achievements of the past years. This grant has been channelled through IFRC, which is responsible to ensure the smooth implementation of activities by Global Shelter Cluster partners and co-lead agencies.

GSC partners are invited to submit Project Partner proposals to implement certain activities included in the 2020-2022 grant approved by USAID-BHA.

If your organization is interested in implementing any of the activities funded through this grant, please follow these steps:

  1. Participate in one of the Webinars that will explain the activities funded through the BHA grant in detail. We are organizing two webinars to accommodate to the time zones of partner agencies on 11 February 2021 at 16:00 (Geneva time) and 12 February 2021 at 10:00 (Geneva time). The content presented will be identical and questions asked and answered will be shared with participants of both webinars. To attend please register here.   2. Read the overview of the partner selection processThe deadline for applications is by CoB Monday, 22 February 2021. The deadline has been extended to CoB 24 February 2021.  The Request for Proposals provides a summary of the activities, timeline, how to apply, additional steps for Non-National Society Partners, and the list of Annexes
  3. To apply, you will have to fill in the (1) List of Activities table for those activities that you intend to apply for and (2) Project Proposal template justifying how your organization fulfils the criteria. The proposals are to be submitted to proposals@sheltercluster.org. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at proposals@sheltercluster.org

The GSC Support Team will review the applications and a Selection Committee composed of IFRC staff and SAG members will decide the most suitable applicants to implement each of the activities. The selected applicants will be individually notified, and the results will be communicated to all partners through a GSC global update.
