The Syria Nationwide Housing Damage Assessment (October–December 2025) provides the first comprehensive, nationwide overview of housing damage since December 2024, offering a harmonised evidence base on the scale, severity, drivers, and geographic distribution of damage across Syria. Based on community-level key informant interviews conducted with the support of Shelter/NFI sector partners, the assessment also examines occupancy patterns, return dynamics, repair and rehabilitation needs, and linkages with infrastructure and essential services. The findings are intended to inform evidence-based prioritisation, area-based planning, and strategic decision-making for the 2026 humanitarian and early recovery response.
