Date
-
Description

The objective of this webinar is to share evidence from diverse humanitarian crisis situations in cities where UN Agencies, International NGOs, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and academics are adopting the settlements approach principles to enable positive change for ‘people in places’. For this webinar, the Urban Settlements Working Group hand-picked guest speakers from diverse contexts, agencies and sectors to demonstrate how the settlements approach can be applied in very different crisis situations, from post disaster emergency responses and protracted displacement to recovery, and stabilization. Join us to hear how UN Habitat, IFRC, the Australia Pacific Security College and IMMAP are operationalizing the Nexus and Localization agendas in cities, guided by the settlements and area-based approach.
